Step One: You will need to begin searching around for a school that you can attend fulltime or part time. If you are working and want to continue working while you're studying to become an LPN, you can do so by taking part time classes. Then if you're looking to complete your courses quickly, you should consider taking classes fulltime. The school you choose doesn't have to be a physical location, there are plenty of online schools that you can choose from.
Step Two: Do a thorough search of the schools and research those that you find. Schools that offer LPN classes include nursing schools, colleges and universities. Ensure that the school you decide to apply to is accredited by your state and/or nationally.
Step Three: Now, that you're in classes, you need to focus on getting everything completed. You will study courses like chemistry and biology.
Step Four: Next, you will have to complete hospital training, which cannot be done online. You will have train inside of a health care facility in order to get hands on training.
Step Five: After you complete all of the requirements of your class, you will need to take the state licensing exam called the NCLEX-PN. The exam will test your knowledge on what you have learned in your courses. Once you pass, you will be able to work within the field as a licensed practical nurse.
