Step One: The first thing you will need to do is determine whether or not you would like to take classes' fulltime or part time. If you decide to take your licensed vocational nurse studies online, you will be able to graduate within a year. Studying part time will take you a bit longer, usually up to two year. Choosing to study part time can be a great option for you if you're looking to go to school and work at the same time.
Step Two: The next thing you need to do is pick the program you want to study. Whichever LVN program that you choose must be accredited by the state you live in. To begin working in this field, you will have to get certification and show that you have mastered the basics of nursing concepts. You will have to spend time in class and hospitals, and then pass the state exam for licensing. Make sure the program you choose will allow you to do all of this.
Step Three: Now that you have found the program you want to take, you will need to apply for admission. Some programs are known to be a bit competitive, so make sure that you have access to all of the documents you will need to show proof of (transcripts, financial aid, etc).
Step Four: The last step is to complete the course and graduate, then take the state exam to receive your license.
