Another known term for this position is a caregiver. Some are paid by the state, while others work for assistant companies. In this area, you will help them with their daily lives or simply visit with them. You will help to clean, cook, pay bills, shop, eat, get dressed, walk and bathe.
Instructions
Step One: The first thing you need to do is become friends with individuals that are disabled or elderly. Assist them with whatever you can without any charge to them. You can visit with them and talk with them, keeping them company. Show that you care about their well being. After getting to know them, you can ask if they would like for you to be their caregiver.
Step Two: The next thing you need to do is figure out how you will be able to help them. Is this the right individual you would like to work with? If the client agreed for you to become their home care worker, ensure that you qualify to assist them.
Step Three: Afterward, you can contact care giving agencies or the company that the individual qualifies for. If he or she already has a case worker and already qualifies, you can meet with the case worker to get an application for employment. If there is no case worker or case, you can continue on to step four.
Step Four: You can assist the individual with applying for assistance. Go to your local state building to receive information about home care services.
