Certified Nursing Assistants Jobs description

Certified nursing assistants (CNAs) perform tasks under the supervision of nurses and medical staff. They are primarily referred to as nursing aides or orderlies. Certified nursing assistants answer patients' call bells, help patients eat if they are unable to feed themselves, prepare beds, and so on. Certified nursing assistants may also take temperature readings, check patients' pulse rates and blood pressure, and set up equipment in the operating theater.

Certified nursing assistants provide hands-on care to those who are unable to care for themselves. Certified nursing assistants also aid physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed. Additionally, certified nursing assistants may document patient interactions as needed and take precautions and remedial measures for the safety of patients.

To obtain a certified nursing assistant job, one must have a high school diploma and be certified by an accredited nursing assistant program. Certified nursing assistant job candidates should be familiar with the standard concepts, practices, and procedures in their field.
