u003cpu003eu003cstrongu003eSUMMARY:u003c/strongu003e u003cbr /u003eu003cbr /u003eOur Atlanta office is currently accepting resumes for a Legal Nurse Consultant. This position will be responsible for assisting attorneys with all medical aspects of litigation related to case preparation, management, and execution. The ideal candidate will have a RN Degree coupled with work experience in a clinical setting. Applicants should be experienced with medical record review and dealing with expert witnesses. Applicants must be able to meet a minimum billing requirement of 140 hours per month.u0026nbsp; This is not a remote position and requires regular attendance in the office. A resume and cover letter are required for consideration.u003cbr /u003eu003cbr /u003eu003cstrongu003eESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:u003c/strongu003eu003c/pu003enu003cpu003eu0026ldquo;Essential functionsu0026rdquo; are primarily job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation made by the employer. u003cbr /u003eu003cbr /u003eObtains, reviews, analyzes, and summarizes medical records and other pertinent medical and legal documents related to case medical facts or deviations from standards of care. u003cbr /u003eu003cbr /u003eIdentifies additional sources for obtaining medical records. u003cbr /u003eu003cbr /u003eOrganizes, tabulates and indexes medical records and prepares medical chronologies. u003cbr /u003eu003cbr /u003eResearches and integrates relevant medical and nursing literature in support of the medical facts and issues of a case. u003cbr /u003eu003cbr /u003eSelects and organizes literature to be used at trial and assists attorneys with preparation of trial exhibits. u003cbr /u003eu003cbr /u003eIdentifies, locates, interviews, and evaluates potential experts and sends expert packages to parties for review. u003cbr /u003eu003cbr /u003eMaintains an expert database and researches opposing counselu0026rsquo;s experts. u003cbr /u003eu003cbr /u003eSchedules meetings and depositions and assists attorney in maintaining scheduled dates. u003cbr /u003eu003cbr /u003ePerforms clerical duties such as typing and filing to the extent required to produce work product or assure proper organization of case files. u003cbr /u003eu003cbr /u003eEnters billable time into computer on a daily basis. u003cbr /u003eu003cbr /u003eMeets a minimum billing requirement of 140 hours per month (1680 per year). This requirement is not reduced by any paid or unpaid time off, mandatory training, or the performance of any non-billable functions.
