JOB SUMMARY

This is a new position for a Home Health Nurse - Home Care Wound Specialist. This indivudal will service all locations and hospice as needed. Come join the Home Care Services team!

This position will support Carilion's hallmarks of service excellence and qualirty for all job responsibilities. As part of the health care team, assumes primary accountability for nursing coordination and provision of individualized care for patients of all ages. Utilizes delegation and critical thinking skills to provide quality service through a team oriented, collaborative approach to patient care.

Education: BSN required.

Experience: Minimum of three years clinical experience.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Must have valid Virginia Driver’s License and pass a Criminal Record Check as per Virginia state law.  Must obtain /maintain AHA BLS-HCP.  Wound and ostomy certification preferred.                                                 

Other Minimum Qualifications: Must successfully complete orientation and competency requirements.  Keyboarding skills required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.  Must be able to meet essential job functions.
