Clinical Research Professional – Trauma Research Nurse

Department of Trauma Research

 

Under general supervision from a designated mentor, plan, evaluate, and coordinate research projects for Department of Surgery, Division of Trauma Surgery.  Coordinate nursing and patient care for clinical research programs. Actively participate in patient care and/or patient follow-up, serve as a resource person or act as a consultant within area of clinical expertise, perform routine and complex physical/clinical procedures. Hours are flexible and variable depending on needs of the study.  This is a full-time position.

 

Duties:

* Plan and coordinate research projects

* Design and implement evaluation tools for research projects

* Consent subjects and gather data

* Coordinate lab and field work

* Coordinate the generation of support data for manuscripts and proposals

* May assist in developing reports

* Data gathering, entry and management  

* Maintain regulatory documents

 

Minimum Qualifications:  

Bachelor’s degree in nursing.  One-year experience in human subject research, preferred.

Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification:  current/valid RN license to practice in the State of Ohio required, and CR certification preferred.
